FIREBALL MINISTRY To Join 'Viva La Bands' Tour
October 12, 2005FIREBALL MINISTRY will join H.I.M., FINCH and SKINDRED for the forthcoming "Viva La Bands" tour kicking off November 19 in Atlantic City. The "Viva La Bands" tour — featuring artists handpicked by MTV skateboarding personality Bam Margera of "Jackass" and "Viva La Bam" fame — will arrive on the heels of FIREBALL MINISTRY's fall outings: a month-long tour with OPETH, PELICAN and NEVERMORE beginning October 9 in Phoenix; and the second leg of the "Rock Adio" tour with CKY commencing October 31 in Philadelphia. "We're excited to be a part of Bam's tour," says FIREBALL MINISTRY guitarist Emily J. Burton. "Get ready for a solid eve of blazing rock."
FIREBALL MINISTRY, the Los Angeles quartet, will release their new offering, "Their Rock Is Not Our Rock" (Liquor and Poker Music) — the follow-up to their critically acclaimed "The Second Great Awakening" — October 18. In addition, FIREBALL MINISTRY currently appears on the recently released "Bam Margera Presents: Viva La Bands" compilation CD.
For "Their Rock Is Not Our Rock", FIREBALL MINISTRY re-teamed with producer Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER). Recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 West as well as the late Elliott Smith's New Monkey Studios, "Their Rock Is Not Our Rock" is already garnering early critical buzz.
